Prior to birth

• Complimentary, no obligation introductory meeting to help determine if I’m a good match for your birth team
• 2 prenatal meeting
• Continuous phone and email support throughout pregnancy
• Assistance with birth plan preparation
• Access to my lending library
• I am on-call 2 weeks prior to your due date and until your baby is born

 

During labor and birth

• Support in your home, hospital and/or birthing center
• Massage, positioning and comfort measure suggestions
• Guidance for the partner so that they can be part of the birth and support the laboring woman
• Help avoid unnecessary interventions
• I will be with you throughout the labor and birth, and 1-2 hours after birth or until you guys are comfortable & ready for alone time
• Help with initial breastfeeding

 

After the birth

• An in-home postpartum visit where we will discuss the birth and take about baby care

 

 

I support those who are having a planned cesarean birth for a reduced fee.  My services would then focus on birth planning preparation, supporting you and your partner pre and post birth and initial breastfeeding and bonding.
